SeaOtter / Terms

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 30, 2026 · During beta, the Beta terms also apply.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using SeaOtter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

SeaOtter is a dispatch service for getting work done, checked. You state what you need in plain words; we write down what "done" means as checkable lines you confirm; we send the job to a worker chosen from measured outcome records (you never browse or pick a worker); we check the delivered result against the lines you confirmed — in a real browser where the work lives on the web — and your prepaid balance is drawn only when every confirmed line passes. If it keeps failing, we step in ourselves or refund the held amount in full.

3. Use of the service

You agree to use SeaOtter only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Request work on, or submit, material you do not have the right to touch — including another party's confidential data or personal information without authorization.
  • Request work that circumvents a security control, targets a site whose owner has told us no, or requires credentials or payment instruments we refuse to handle.
  • Use the Service to produce unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
  • Exceed reasonable rate limits or disrupt the Service.

4. Verification disclaimer

Acceptance decisions are made against the checkable lines you confirmed, by the strongest instrument that can honestly carry each line — machine checks, measured specialist instruments, or frontier-model judgment anchored on your own references. They are assessments of that list and nothing else: not financial, legal, or compliance advice, and never a warranty of outcomes nobody controls. Where verification honestly stops is stated before you confirm — see the Beta terms.

5. Intellectual property

The SeaOtter name, logo, checking engine, and verification methodology are proprietary. You own the delivered work a passed job hands you and the words of your own request; your receipts are yours to share.

6. Limitation of liability

SeaOtter is provided "as is" without warranty beyond what these terms state. Our aggregate liability for any job is limited to the amount actually drawn from your balance for that job; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or affects your statutory rights.
